MMS Clubs and Activities
The Main Office is the source for information regarding club/activity supervisors. The following is a selection of the MMS clubs and activities:
Homework Club (Homework Club Letter and Permission Slip)
Homework Club provides a convenient and wonderful opportunity for our kids to get a head start on homework and prepare for upcoming assignments in a safe and quiet environment. Homework Club meets Mondays thru Thursdays after school until 4:15. Parents need to complete the permission form for the year and students need to sign up each day when they arrive at school, but n later than the end of their lunch wave. Additionally, students need to attend prepared to work, with all materials needed. This is a support service, but this in not a tutoring program.
Student Council
Student Council is a club made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. The MMS Student Council helps coordinate and organize school events and spreads school spirit. In addition, students will have the opportunity to have an impact on the greater Middlebury community.
Math Club
Joining Math Club means being part of a supportive community where you can learn, grow and have fun. Whether you're a math whiz or just starting out, there's a special place for you in Math Club. Members explore and experience math concepts, skill improvement, teamwork and collaboration as well as preparation for competitions with the possibility of competing in Math Counts, AMC (American Mathematics Competitions), or even international contests.

Debate Club
The Debate Team is a great way for students to develop public speaking and essay writing skills. Students from PHS mentor our MMS students and prepare them for competitions against other middle schoolers around the state.
After School Sports
Unified Sports
The Special Olympics Unified Sports Program is an additional means of carrying out and fulfilling the missions of Special Olympics. Teams are constructed in such a way as to provide training and competition opportunities that meaningfully challenge and involve all athletes. These opportunities leas to improved sport skill, higher self-esteem, equal status among peers and new friendships. Unified Sports runs Fall, Winter and Spring season schedules.
History Day
Yearbook Committee
Students participate in taking pictures throughout the year and help organize the photos for the production of an excellent yearbook. Any 7th and 8th grade student interested in joining the Yearbook Committee should compete an application.

Library Leaders
Student Library Leaders must be reliable, honest and show good citizenship in all they do at school. They must be accountable and accurate in shelving books and keeping the library neat and organized. Library Leaders meet during the Support Block times, not after school.
